To increase new sales across the universe of companies and PR agencies in France by establishing the client as their exclusive or preferred supplier of targeting, distribution and monitoring tools.
Main focus will be to sell our distribution services, which includes MediAtlas, wire/email distribution, multimedia solutions.
Key Performance Areas:
§ Highly proactive by ensuring that all clients are handled to the highest standards and everything is known about their corporate, pr and marketing communications requirements throughout the year.
§ Ability to quickly identify decision makers, influencers and "users" within the client base.
§ To maximise the research material available in order to generate opportunities either on a transactional or sustainable basis.
§ Highly proficient in demonstrating all the client services and products at all levels of staff
§ To become an ambassador for the client by developing strong relationships with customers face to face, through contact during meetings, presentations or at industry forums.
§ Always be one-step ahead in client negotiations by using lateral/creating thinking to out smart and out think the competition.
§ To provide weekly feedback to Sales Manager of sales activity including clients wins/loses, competition activity, product feedback etc. Occasionally present to the Sales Team on a product line or competitor.
§ To take and interpret customer needs or instructions, proposing solutions, which should lead to the maximisation of revenues
§ To ensure that all customer complaints are dealt with efficiently and communicated to the Director of Client Services
§ To aggressively target our competitors clients and work with team to graduate business to the client.
§ High activity of calls and meetings. 40 calls per day and/or 8 meetings per week.
§ To take a diagnostic of customer needs or instructions, proposing solutions, which should lead to the maximisation of revenues.
§ Following up all leads and opportunities to ensure that the client always succeeds in winning the business.
§ To ensure potential and developing accounts are adequately referenced on our CRM system and that the system is being used according to established good practice.
§ To be able to share expertise internally.
§ Ability to be able to think around a story as to the implications to competitors, supplier companies and associated industries. To be able to think about the potential of a news story and how to best service its' distribution needs.
Competencies, Attributes, Knowledge:
- Proven track record of winning new business (examples required)
- Fluent in French with experience of working in the French marketplace
- Experience or a keen interest in the media industry
- Degree Educated
- Experience in complex, consultative or solution sales into the corporate / agency market
- Ability to sell across a varied but intrinsically linked product range
- Demonstrable experience of selling to all levels of personnel both on the phone and face to face
- Good team player. Self motivated, disciplined and able to remain corporately focused
- Have the energy and drive to work under pressure to hit tight targets
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to sell across a varied but intrinsically linked service range
- Experience of selling in the news & media marketplace essential
- Experience of selling in the investor relations & financial marketplace desirable
- Ability to effectively communicate on all levels.
- Ability to always work under pressure and within tight targets.
