Job Summary
· To manage the implementation of systems in Stores and Offices in Germany.
· To monitor and manage installation and support vendors for German stores and offices.
· Based in German head office in Dusseldorf, but with significant travel requirements throughout German stores network.
Key Responsibilities
60% Manage system implementations and support in stores
· Overall responsibility, ensuring business led time scales are met, of all store based installations/rollouts/refits/implementation, including on site attendance as required.
· Systems covered include Point of Sale, markdowns, telephone, music, LAN, WLAN and security systems - others may be required.
· Raise purchase orders to ensure all equipment and service requirements are delivered to the required time scales.
· Collate and communication rollout schedules and project plans.
· Collate, document and communicate data from both internal and external suppliers e.g. store telephone numbers, merchant numbers, TIDs, store files.
· Ensure all methodology documentation is current and communicated to all relevant parties.
· Attend site meetings as required to ensure all parties are aware of their responsibilities.
· Ensure all pre-requisites are in place for installation e.g. furniture, power, cabling.
· Pre-empt potential issues and escalate as appropriate with vendors and internal partners to ensure stores open on time.
· Attend installations to ensure systems are correctly installed, and hand over systems to store management.
· Attend sites to validate systems are ready for trade, and to support store openings.
· Ensure all projects have completed snagging issues.
· Attend stores to troubleshoot operational issues as required.
· Actively seek feedback on performance.
20% Support Head Office and mobile users
· Attend head office to support the delivery of services to head office and mobile users and to troubleshoot operational issues as required.
· Monitor outstanding helpdesk issues and liaise with colleagues in Germany and Hertfordshire, UK to help resolve issues.
20% Manage Suppliers
· Source vendors for installation services in stores and support in offices, take part in contract negotiations and ensure agreement on SLAs is achieved.
· Conduct regular review meetings with suppliers to review performance.
· Ensure stock of spare equipment is managed effectively by third parties.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
· 4 years experience of IT in a retail environment
· Demonstrable knowledge of PC hardware, EPOS, LAN, WAN. MS Project or similar.
· Thorough understanding of Project methodologies, including risk assessment, critical path, gap analysis, resource management, documentation and communication.
· Experience of managing of 3rd parties including establishing requirements and ensuring deliverables to the required standard.
· Full Driving Licence.
· Fluent spoken and written English & German.
