German Software Technical Support

Our client is seeking 3 German IT Technical Support Analyst to support and troubleshoot issues for a bespoke software which runs via windows that has been developed for the German market.

You will be tasked with support (helpdesk, email and occasional visits to customer premises) of bespoke software solutions which run on Microsoft Windows platform written in VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server.

You will be a logical thinker, good at problem solving and investigating issues, be very customer focused and have an excellent telephone manner; ideally with previous experience of working in a support environment supporting and solving bespoke software / databases issues.

You will be methodical and have the ability to prioritise and liaise between developers and non-technical clients and ideally hold a degree in an IT related subject.

Main responsibilities:

To provide technical support to clients based in Germany

To support all projects, both internally and externally through the life of the project and beyond.

To work with due care and attention to detail and set acceptable deadlines for work to be completed.


Core activities:

Understanding, analysing and solving a variety of technical and computer application problems.

Undertaking technical support/fault rectification, which will include telephone support and occasional visits to customer premises

Performing software upgrades and installations.

Occasionally assisting in new application testing and writing test plans.


Ideal Candidate:

Technically, you will have some experience and understanding of SQL databases, however training can/will be provided.

Previous exposure to Service Desk call logging Systems.

Previous experience of technical support for bespoke software

Good understanding of VB.NET, ASP.NET or C#.

Be of smart appearance, confident and have a customer focused approach.

Native-level German
Knowledge of IT technical jargon with reference to software issues in German
