Our client is looking for a CIMA or ACCA Qualified candidate who is a fluent French Speaker.
Responsibilities
Management Accounts:
- Liaise with in country offices to ensure correct postings for expenditure and sales and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Control of Fixed asset registers
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments
- Reconciliation of Monies received on account
- Balance sheet reconciliation and review.
- Consolidation of accounts and reporting into Hyperion.
- Assisting with planning and co-ordinating of stock checks
- Assisting with audits as necessary (internal and external audit)
- Production and distribution of Profit and Loss accounts for relevant countries
- Analysis of variances to budget and prior year
- Liaising with regional operations managers and base manager queries
- Monthly performance commentaries.
- Management of local finance team and processes
Forecasting:
- Maintain overview of costs in order to submit monthly forecasts
- Liaising with Regional Operations to ensure completeness of forecasts
Annual budget:
- Detailed budget production for individual cost centres in conjunction with French regional managers
Tax:
- Liaise with tax offices and submit various local tax information.
- Prepare VAT returns and co-ordinate 8th directive claims.
- Calculation and submission of Tax Professional and Participation
Requirements
- Newly / Qualified accountant
- Good spreadsheet skills
- Previous management accounts experience
- Ability to communicate well with people at all levels within the organisation
- Ability and initiative to analyse and improve current processes
- Able to work efficiently within tight reporting deadlines
- Previous team management a benefit
- Presentation experience beneficial
- French language skills would be strongly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Scala accounting package and Hyperion consolidation package would be a benefit.
